Under 9s

Bulimba Cricket Club run an internal Round-Robin competition for our Under 9 teams. The program is suitable for boys and girls aged 7 to 8 years, as well as our players transitioning from the Master Blaster program. This format is hugely popular with our players and families, as it provides a gentle step into competitive Junior Cricket.

 
Playing Under 9’s, cricketers will continue to learn all the basic skills of the game in a low-pressure environment that’s inclusive and fun - everybody bats, bowls and fields.
Games are held on Saturday mornings and start at 7:45am and are finished by 10:30am. Games are played at various pitches in the local area and include Balmoral Park, Cannon Hill State School and Raymond Park at Kangaroo Point.

The competition falls in line with school term 4 and term 1 every year. Registrations open in late July and families are given the option to play for a full season (term 4 and term 1) or half season (term 4 OR term 1).

 
It’s recommended that teams stick to eight players, as this helps to ensure the highest level of participation and fun for everybody.
