Our Players
Teams
Our Junior Cricket programs offer opportunities for both boys and girls, whether they're a new comer to cricket or a returning player.
Our Teams
Bulimba Cricket Club submits teams in various age groups to play in the Junior Cricket competition. Teams are open to boys and girls starting from 7 years in under 9's through to under 17's in divisional cricket. We also offer a Girls Only Program, providing an entry point for those players new to the game.
Our pathways start with Woolworths Cricket Blast, allowing boys and girls as young as 5 to begin their cricket journey.
The Blast Program is centred around learning through play, with the focus being on learning basic cricket skills. This is achieved by participating in a range of fun activities and with the support and guidance of volunteer coaches. Players then have the opportunity to move through the Blast Program and into competitive Junior Cricket, starting in our in-house under 9’s competition.
Following on from the in-house under 9’s competition, players can experience games playing against other EDJCA clubs in the local area. Finally, players enter divisional cricket in the BEARS competition, taking players through to under 17’s.
We provide our players with a safe and inclusive learning environment where they develop a love of the game, strongly supported, and guided by the club’s values.
Representative Pathways
We promote representative cricket opportunities for all our players that fall within the applicable age groups. Players are selected to play for BEARS to represent the zone in state and development cricket carnivals against other Queensland Cricket zones.
Representative opportunities begin for boys in under 12's and under 13’s for girls. To be considered for BEARS representative cricket, players must be playing in a Bulimba Junior Cricket team.
