Girls Heat League
Cricket is for everyone and our dedicated Girls League encourages girls of all ages to get involved in Australia's favourite Summer Sport!
Girls' Cricket at Bulimba Cricket Club
The Girls Heat League is an organised competition for female junior cricketers and provides an environment for girls to have fun, make some new friends and learn some new skills. The league is broken up into stages and caters for those girls just starting out on their cricketing journey, right through to those with more advanced skills.
Girls only training is held at the Bulimba Cricket Club home ground every Friday evening during Term 4 and Term 1 starting at 5:00pm. Fixtures are then played on Sunday’s starting at 7:45am, with the Foundation Stage of the league playing the entirety of their season from the Holland Park Junior Cricket fields, located at Whites Hill Reserve.
Girls are able to play both Junior Cricket on Saturday’s and the Girls Heat League on Sunday’s; or in just one of these fixtures. Girls playing in a mixed Junior Cricket team on Saturday’s are welcome and encouraged to attend the Friday evening girls only training.
Our girl's program is continually growing and expanding, ensuring all the girls are gaining new skills and enjoying their cricket, regardless of the stage they’re at. In recent times, we have been fortunate to see some of our girls begin their journey in Premier Grade Cricket. This is through the Women's 2nd Grade Competition – the Jodie Fields Shield.
